Terms of service

Last updated: 2026-05-20

By using Mesa you agree to these terms. They are written in plain English on purpose.

What Mesa is

Mesa is a software-as-a-service operations platform for artisan food businesses. We give you tools to create clients, products, orders, invoices, and a cash-flow view. We do not file your taxes, sign contracts on your behalf, or guarantee payment from your customers.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter contracts. You must give us accurate information about your business.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password (or your linked Google account) safe. Don't share your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

Don't use Mesa to send spam, deceive your customers, store data you don't have a right to store, or attempt to break our security. We may suspend accounts that do.

Trial & payment

Cancellation

Cancel anytime from your dashboard. We don't ask why and we don't make you call. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.

Data ownership

Your data is yours. You can export it as Excel at any time. We never use your operational data for any purpose other than running the service for you.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but Mesa is provided as is, with no formal uptime SLA in the pilot stage. We do our best to be up; if we are down, we work to bring the service back as fast as possible.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost profits, business interruption, lost data โ€” though we work hard to prevent the latter).

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of Mesa, your data, or your violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the founder's state of residence.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll email account holders. Continued use after the change date means you accept the new terms.
